PhDr. Titus Kolník, DrSc. – archeologist* 1.I.1932, Hrachovište PhDr. Titus Kolník was an outstanding Slovak archaeologist, fouding member of the Slovak Archaelogical Society and a member of several national and international institutions. He was concerned with the study of prehistoric settling of Slovakia, the Migration Period and Roman antiquity. He was a career-long researcher at the Archeological Institute of SAS. He carried out excavations mostly in the territory of south-western Slovakia, the most notable digging site being Cífer – Pác. | |
